The Vallindras family distillery has been present in the mountainous village of Chalki, Naxos, for over 100 years. Since 1896, Markos Vallindras started a tradition that is now carried on with great passion by Irini Fragkoudaki and her daughters. The distillery is housed in a mansion, an accessible space where visitors can learn step-by-step the production process of Citron and its rich history. At the traditional Vallindras distillery, three types of citron liqueurs are produced: the yellow (sugar-free, 36% alcohol), the white (with a little sugar, 33% alcohol), and the green (more sugar, 30% alcohol). Each one has its unique characteristics and is considered particularly digestive. With a visit (by appointment), you can get a literal taste of Naxos tradition and the work of five generations of the Vallindras family.
